The Malta Feline Guardians Club is working hard in the organisation for the 2 International Cat Shows to be held on the 6th and 7th of December at the Coastline Hotel. These are going to be two International shows where professional judges who are bought over to Malta from overseas on purpose for these shows can judge the exhibited cats.
The MFGC started its new season of cat shows and diverse activities with a tremendously sucessful cat show which was held last Sunday 26th of October at the Coastline Hotel, Salina Bay. The hard work and persistance from all of the committee members could be seen through the flawless organisation of the show and was clearly appreciated from both the exhibitors and visitors alike.
As one could have seen from the response that was shown from all of the public who came to visit us our shows have become even more popular throughout the years and much more in demand.
As the LO Secretary of the MFGC it has been bought to my attention once again that cats are being bought from certain pet shops and breeders with false pedigrees.
On the 2nd and 3rd of August the World Cat Federation held its General Assembly for the next two years. Malta was also amongst the 60 or so countries that were being represented at the show.The Malta Feline Guardians Club was represented by the clubs secretary Joanne Mifsud Micallef and assisted by Paula Falzon as the clubs President, Kevin Charles Micallef, could not be present due to other obligations.
Due to the occurring absence of the clubs Acting Vice President Mr. Roberto Cesana, because of the great distance for him to travel, the committee members have elected Mr. Josef Falzon as the new Acting Vice President. Mr. Falzon has been with the club for over 2 years and has always shown great enthusiasm. He has always been constant in both attendance and at taking care of his responsibilities as Head Coordinator. We wish him luck in his new role.
