Sphinx Cat Breeds

Varieties in Persians
In persian cats, varieties are depending by the coat colour and they will be divided as follows:
Calico and Bicolor
In Italy breeders started selecting bicolors around 25 years ago and given the high quality of the foreign lines used, nowadays we can admire italian individuals of equal level when compared to the ones from oversea. In this variety it is particularly difficult to reach the perfection given that the allocation of the colours plays an important role in the judgement of the show cat.

Actuelly bicolor have reach an acceptable balance: cobby body on strong short legs. Under is gorgeous coat you can feel its large chest, strong back and solid shoulders while the gorgeous neck`s coat makes more evident a round head with strong jaws and a small noze with dared eyes. Its tail, tick and short, furtherly remarks its solidness in its shapes.

Finding a responsible cat breeder
There are other breeders who give some brief information about the kitten and tell the buyer that if s/he wants to buy the kitten, they have to pay a deposit.
After two weeks, when the buyer is accompanied by his or her children, goes to take the kitten home, they are giving one of the shocks of their life because the contact present to be signed states that the kitten cannot be mated.
If the buyer would like to mate the kitten in the future, s/he has to pay twice the price. Considering this, it could have been a wise idea to buy the kitten from abroad, because the buyer would have paid less.

A good breeder doesn’t produce in large numbers, so you may have to wait for a kitten. Firstly remember a ‘cheap’ kitten is rarely a bargain. Rearing a litter can be quite costly not to mention the time invested in caring for, supervising and socialising a kitten and its litter mates. This will be reflected in the purchase price.

The Pet Travel Scheme allows pet carnivores (dogs, cats, ferrets) originating from qualifying countries, as well as pet carnivores residing in Malta that travel to any of the qualifying countries, to enter Malta without quarantine as long as the requisites specified in the Legal Notice 169/2001 have been satisfied. The Pet Travel Scheme does not apply to other pet animals.
